I am a guitar, bass, ukulele, and drum teacher in the Sylvania and Toledo area, specializing in the instruction of beginner, intermediate, and advanced level students.
Inspired by my favorite guitarist, Jimi Hendrix, I began studying music in 1995. I have played in several bands, performing covers and originals, and I enjoy playing anything from indie to metal.
However, my true passion is sharing my knowledge of music, and helping my students realize their full potential as musicians. I have been teaching for over 20 years now, and in that time I have seen my students gain the confidence to do what they enjoy. Some have started their own bands, and a few have even gone on to teach music themselves.
Here's what my students have to say:
Cory has been giving me lessons for six years now and I have enjoyed going to his lessons every week. It's crazy how much I have learned! We always solve our problems when I have sports conflicts. From one day to another, he has been very flexible all the time! He is a great teacher and I would highly recommend him for all ages and classes!
- Ryan, 14
Without question, the best around. I was a 68 yr old man who got a guitar for x-mas. Cory took me from knowing nothing to now being able to play. He is patient and able to teach in a way that keeps you excited to learn. If you are old or young and want to learn guitar then Cory is the one to see.
Cory is aggressively tall, but a good dude. He is knowledgable, cares a lot about what he teaches, and really goes above and beyond for his students. Before my band’s first show, Cory took the time out of his schedule to work with us to make sure we were ready. I can’t recommend him enough.
